Request a New Group

Below is a list of the discussion groups (a.k.a. listservs, forums, or message boards) that the Academy sponsors. All of them are Google groups, but for privacy, none of them are listed in Google's public group directory.

In all cases, only members of a group can post a message, which is done by sending an e-mail to the group e-mail address (addresses are given below for each group).

One message board (archive of postings)—the Transplant Psychiatry board—may be viewed by the public using the board's link listed below. This group's membership includes medical professionals who are not members of APM to share information and discuss issues and topics related to transplant psychiatry.

All other archive boards can be viewed only by their members and only if a member has signed up for a free Google account. The password for a member's Google account, combined with membership in the group, makes the board private. To obtain a Google account, go to www.google.com and click the link to "Sign in" in the upper right, and then click the link to "Create an account now." Be sure to use the same email address for the Google account that you have for your membership in the discussion group(s).

To request a new group: If your committee or special interest group wishes to start an Academy-sponsored e-mail discussion group, please send an e-mail to the Academy office at apm@apm.org and include the purpose for the group and the intended membership of the group.
