2004 BOARD REVIEW COURSE
November 1718, 2004
Marco Island Marriott Resort Marco Island, Florida

Designed to prepare registrants for the 2005 ABPN subspecialty examination in Psychosomatic Medicine, a two-day Board Review Course preceded APM's November 2004 Annual Meeting.
The Review Course included 14 CME hours of live presentations by international leaders in the field, plus 10 additional CME hours of presentations on CD-ROM only. The topics and presenters of the complete course are given below.
A two-CD set of the complete course — 33 presentations, references, and exam-type questions — is available for purchase (see System Requirements below). The audio portion of each presentation is synchronized with the speaker's slides. To order: download, print, and fill out an order form and mail or fax with payment by check or credit card to the Academy Office.
Please note that CME credits are no longer available for taking the course. If you wish to check your answers to the exam questions on the CD, click here for the answer key.
Note: Fellowship programs in which at least 50% of the fellows and 50% of the faculty are APM members receive the 2004 and 2005 course CDs free. See New Incentives for Membership Recruitment.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The 2004 CDs run on both Windows and Macintosh computers using any common browser EXCEPT Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). If you are working under the Windows Vista operating system (which comes with IE7 as the default browser), or if you have upgraded to IE7 under Windows XP, you need to view the CDs with an alternative browser such as Firefox or Opera.
More for Vista or IE7 users...
|
If you do not have Firefox or Opera on your computer, first download and install either browser.
The easy way to view the CDs is to set the alternative browser as your default browser so that when you insert the CD into the CD drive, the course will be displayed automatically by the alternative browser. You can set the default browser via:
- Firefox: Tools > Options > Main, System Defaults
- Opera: Tools > Preferences > Advanced, Programs
If you do not wish to make the alternative browser your default browser, then you need to manually display the course in the browser.
- With the CD in your CD drive, select File > Open in Firefox or Opera.
- Browse to your CD drive and double-click the file called "toc.html".
