UPDATE IN PSYCHOSOMATIC MEDICINE

The Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine offered a unique, one-day course on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, just prior to the Academy’s Annual Meeting. The course, orchestrated by co-chairs David F. Gitlin, MD, FAPM, William S. Breitbart, MD, FAPM, and Linda L.M. Worley, MD, FAPM, was designed to provide each attendee with a solid knowledge base in psychosomatic medicine and C-L psychiatry, in keeping with best practices. Course sessions and speakers are listed below.
The audio presentations, synchronized with speakers' slides, are available on a CD-ROM for a fee (APM members: $99; non-members: $199). Before ordering, please view the sample presentation online. If you can view the sample, you will be able to view the presentations on the CD (see System Requirements below). To order: download, print, and fill out an order form and mail or fax with payment by check or credit card to the Academy Office.
Note: Fellowship programs in which at least 50% of the fellows and 50% of the faculty are APM members receive the 2004 and 2005 course CDs free. See New Incentives for Membership Recruitment.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The presentations on the 2005 CD require the Internet Explorer browser (version 5, 6, or 7) and the Windows Media Player, both of which are common Windows applications.

The Internet Explorer browser for the Mac, although no longer supported by Microsoft, must be used to view the 2005 presentations. Version 5.2 for the Mac can still be downloaded from OldApps.com here.
The Windows Media Player for the Mac can be downloaded here from Microsoft. Version 9 of the Media Player is sufficient to view the presentations.
Please view the sample presentation before ordering the CD. If you are able to view the sample, you will be able to view the presentations on the CD. Note that you may have to close the separate Media Player window that opens with the presentation to eliminate double audio. If you cannot view the sample, you will be able to listen to the presentations via the MP3 link, but you will not be able to see the speaker's slides.
